  "______no matter how bad or good our life is at any one moment we can imagine a better life.we can imagine a place "over there" greener, more beautiful, with rivers of purest water; a land of milk and honey.but wait--before you turn away with a yawn.... one more thing.. that gap--that space--between here and there, demands of us an irresistible passion to cross over.. we seek: a better life.. we find a "bridge" to buy which promises us a guarantee: whether it is god or utopia or diet and meditation--we each, in our own way, find: the answer.. the lowest form of human consciousness?.

  Terry! I just finished reading "Heavens on Earth: The scientific search for the afterlife,Immortality, and Utopia." By Michael Shermer. This what mankind is searching for. We want to imagine a better life. Hope you read it and comment on it later on. I know it is your kind of book because I read your book,I wept by the rivers of Babylon. By the way he does look at the entire history of humanity on earth in this book.It is a tough read. Take good care of yourself Terry. You know me as Blueblades who reads all your topics and comments on some. I'm 33 years a watchtower slave 1969 to 2002 when I first joined Simon's original site back then. I miss the old guys and gals from back then.

  i have an uneasy feeling inside that something is coming this year or the next.

  perhaps a new big announcement that turns jwdom on it's head.. we've seen the statement in the watchtower november 15th, 2013 which said:.

  Tax Free. Remember this. Out of there own mouths when they sell property real estate etc. and collect Millions which has nothing to do with Religion then and only then can and will the Government Tax them on the real estate deals they make in the name of Religion. This day is coming and its going to Bankrupt them. So, this is what will bring that corrupt organization down nothing else. As long as they remain Tax free, they will go on and on and on just like the song Don't Stop Believing. Its Tax free or get Taxed that will determine its continued existence. In the meantime as Pale.Emperor has shown in this excellant Topic, they will try and keep the rank and file guessing what the next move is ....Money! Money! Money! I guess! Blueblades

  all the money paid out by the watchtower to the child abuse law suits comes from the worldwide work fund or the contributions from the monies given for the kingdom hall real estate.

  so,when we were actively involved donating funds for this purpose,and the watchtower used those funds for purposes other than the worldwide work are they not guilty of stealing funds that were donated for jehovah's kingdom.

  can anything legal be done about this?

  Thanks Flipper! I have always enjoyed you on here. I don't respond too much when I read yours and other post. I know we never gave the watchtower the right to use our donations for payment to settle child abuse cases. I read on here that they have many loopholes that legal jumps through.I guess its just like the catholic church/ Vatican does with its donations also. As does wall street in the scams and misuse of funds meant for other causes. Blueblades

Can anything legal be done about this? The reason I ask is if they had to return those funds back that they took from Jehovah's Kingdom, where would the monies that they had to pay out for the child abuse law suits come from?Am I smelling Bankruptcy? Misuse of funds? Or, nothing will ever happen about this. Thanks for your thoughts. Blueblades

  i know they are trying to simplify but it all is such a confusing mess.... forms, dates, calculators, committees, logins, publisher record cards.....jesus would barf.

  to all bodies of elders re: announcements and reminders dear brothers: in an effort to reduce the number of letters sent to all bodies of elders and congregations, most announcements from the branch office will now be conveyed to congregations by means of the announcements and reminders (s-147) form.
